Baggage Rules Most major airlines allow one free carry-on bag per passenger and typically charge fees for additional bags. All items are subject to size and weight restrictions as well. Because rules can vary by airline and even by flight, check with your carrier for specific guidelines.

Connect Times CVG is one of the easiest airports to navigate thanks to its modern design and lack of congestion. Usually, 20 to 30 minutes is more than enough time to connect between flights.

Handicap Access All areas of the airport are handicap accessible, and skycaps and airline personnel are available to for assistance. Passengers and their bags can be dropped off and picked up in front of the terminals. For assistance connecting between flights, contact your airline .

International Flights International arrivals and departures, as well as most connecting flights, are located in Concourse B. Two Crown Rooms allow members and international business-class passengers to relax in comfort. For more information, read about our immigration and customs facility .

Internet Access Enjoy free wireless internet in Terminals 2 & 3 and in the Cell Phone Lot courtesy of Project Lily Pad and Time Warner Business Class. T-Mobile provides paid wireless internet in the gate areas of Concourses A & B.

Lost and Found To locate items left at security checkpoints, contact the Transportation Security Administration or call (859) 372-9800 . For any item left on an aircraft or in a gate area, please check with your airline . For items left in all other areas of the airport contact the Airport Police.

Meeting Someone Normally only ticketed passengers are allowed beyond security, so plan to meet in the baggage claim area or elsewhere in the terminal away from the gates. Check with your airline for exceptions.

The safety and security of passengers and employees is our top priority. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is responsible for the security screening of passengers and baggage at U.S. airports. The Airport has worked closely with the TSA in the design and construction of the new screening facility and existing checkpoints to incorporate the Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT) equipment at CVG to ensure the highest level of safety and security, while at the same time working towards improving customer service.

The TSA installed AIT equipment at CVG in the Spring of 2010. The technology can detect a wide range of threats to transportation security in a matter of seconds to protect passengers and crews. Passengers have the choice to opt for alternative screening procedures in lieu of the AIT.

Comfortable smoking lounges are located in the ticketing areas of Terminals 2 and 3, as well as in Concourse B near the food court.

Wait Times
Most carriers recommend that passengers arrive 90 minutes before their flights, although actual wait times vary by carrier and time of day, so check with your airline.


ValuPark Long-Term Lot

CVG ValuPark offers the closest economy lot to the terminals. Shuttle drivers pick you up at your car and assist with your luggage. Returning passengers can catch the shuttle outside their baggage claim area.

Stay to the right as you approach the airport. Take the Donaldson Road ramp to Long Term Parking.

AutoPort Terminal Garage

The Terminal Garage offers 6,000 covered spaces next to the terminals. The exit plaza saves you time with automated credit card lanes, in addition to the staffed booths.

Directions: Bear left as you approach the airport. Look for the entrance on the left, just past the airport hotel.

Curbside Valet

Valet service offers the ultimate in comfort and convenience and saves time as you arrive at Terminal 3.

While you are away, your car is kept secure and covered in the Terminal Garage. Upon your return, your car is waiting curbside.

Directions: Bear left as you approach the airport. Look for the Valet check-in on the upper level of Terminal 3.

The Cell Phone Lot provides a free waiting area for those arriving to pick up passengers from the terminals.
  1. Pull into the lot as you enter the airport.
  2. Once your arriving passenger lands, make contact via cell phone.
  3. As passenger leaves baggage claim, you exit the lot to pick them up at their terminal. ( It can take up to 30 minutes to exit the plane and retrieve luggage from baggage claim. Don't leave the lot too early.)
  4. Remember: Security rules still apply. The curbs in front of the terminals are for active loading and unloading only. When picking up or dropping off passengers, never leave your vehicle unattended for any reason. Your car may be towed. Commercial vehicles are not permitted to use the Cell Phone Lot to wait for passengers.


Terminal 3 passengers catch their car rental shuttle at the east end of the terminal, past Baggage Carrousel 5/6. Terminal 2 passengers catch their rental car buses outside the terminal.
